Discipleable

Equipping the Saints for Service

The Creed

The Creed is a powerful tool for sharing faith and witnessing because it concisely summarizes the core beliefs of Christianity. By grounding believers in these fundamental truths, the Creed provides a clear and unified foundation for articulating and defending the faith, making it easier to share the Gospel with confidence and clarity.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Discipleable

Discipleable is an adjective that describes a man who is teachable, obedient, and receptive to guidance and instruction. It is often used in the context of spiritual or religious leadership, where a discipleable man is eager to learn and follow the teachings of a mentor or leader; in our case Jesus Christ. This term is related to the concept of discipleship, which involves a committed relationship between Jesus and each individual Christian man. Men who are discipleable are willing to listen, learn, and grow under the guidance of trusted mentors.

  • Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

    Matthew 28:19-20

  • Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

    2 Timothy 2:15

  • Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.

    1 Corinthians 16:13-14

  • But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.

    1 Peter 3:15

  • Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

    Ephesians 6:10-11
